Yıldız Technical University continues its commercialization efforts by transferring the patents it holds to the industry. After the first patent licensing in 2019, two more patents were transferred in the medical field in 2020.
Patents on inventions related to high-purity bone completion powder (bone graft) and cystitis solution developed at Yıldız Technical University will be transferred to Betatech, which has been operating in the medical sector since 2008 and has the ability to product the patented inventions.
With these patents, for which Yıldız Technical University has determined a transfer fee of 1,400,000 TL at the first stage, it will generate income up to 2,000,000 TL with the sale of the product

The development of dental composite filling material and production method technology was made by using the facilities of Yıldız Technical University(YTU) and at the same time Industrial property protections have been taken under the rights of YTU also.
Negotiations were conducted with a local company, UMG Uysal Medikal (European Implant), in order to transform the invention in question from an intellectual product to an industrial product. This productization process is supported by TÜBİTAK 1505 project.
Finally, an intellectual product subject to a patent family owned by Yıldız Technical University was licensed and transferred to a local company.
With tis transfer; In a strategic technical area, it will be possible to decrease the import figures, increase the export figures and obtain a domestic - national product that can become an international brand.
