The Academic Board of the Faculty of Civil Engineering was held on December 29, 2022 at Davutpaşa Campus with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz and all our faculty academics.

In 2022, a total of 171 published research articles by our Faculty Members were published in journals scanned in SCI/SSCI (Q1:104, Q2:43, Q3:14, Q4:10)

Scientific and Technical Board Meeting within the scope of Marmara Sea action plan was held

Within the scope of the Marmara Sea Action Plan, Prof. Dr. Güleda Engin attended the consultation meeting with the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mr. Murat Kurum.

DATUM'22 Event was held

In the event organized by the Geoinformatics Club, representatives of the Public and Private Sector talked about the new working subjects of Geomatic Engineers. The projects and devices realized in the sector were introduced.

CIVILISTANBUL'22 Event was held

CivilIstanbul'22 event, organized by our Building Club for the 10th time, was held at YTU Davutpaşa Campus Culture and Congress Center.

Collaborated with AFAD

Prof. Dr. Sükrü Ersoy, Prof. Dr. Nabi Yüzer, YTU OHS and Civil Defense Unit visited AFAD Provincial Directorate. Collaborations to be made within the scope of the Istanbul provincial disaster risk reduction plan were discussed at the meeting.

CO-OP protocols started to be made with businesses

Within the scope of Vocational Education in Business (CO-OP), Körfez Enerji A.Ş. allocated 1 quota and Yeşil Global Enerji A.Ş. allocated 4 quotas for our students from Environmental Engineering Department in the 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Term.

The programs of the Civil Engineering and Map Engineering Departments of our faculty were entitled to use the TQF logo in their diploma supplements.

Our students who will graduate from the programs of our faculty are entitled to use the Turkish Qualifications Framework, TQF logo, which is designed to be compatible with the European Qualifications Framework in diploma supplements, transcripts and

MÜDEK Accreditation was granted for the 100% English Program of the Civil Engineering Department

Our Faculty's Civil Engineering Department's 100% English Program was accredited by MÜDEK and EUR-ACE until September 30, 2024.

MÜDEK Accreditation was granted for the 30% English Program of the Environmental Engineering Department.

Our Faculty's Environmental Engineering Department’s 30% English Program was accredited by MÜDEK and EUR-ACE until September 30, 2025.

We continue to make CO-OP deals

The Department of Map Engineering signed the first CO-OP agreement with MAPit Bilgi Teknolojileri AŞ for 3 students.

YTUÇEV GREEN STARTUPS'22 event was held

Under the platinum sponsorship of Ziraat Participation and Ecogreen Energy, the Green Sartups'22 event was organized by the YTU Environment Club at the Historical Hamam of the YTU Davutpasa Campus.

UK-Turkey bilateral cooperation project workshop was held

The workshop of the project titled “UK-Turkey capacity building for wastewater treatment integrated with renewable energy and safer reuse for sustainable communities” carried out by Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik was held as a hybrid.
