Anas-TÜBİTAK Bilateral Collaboration in Mathematics Department

Mathematics Department faculty member, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Zeren’s Anas-TÜBİTAK Bilateral Collaboration Project titled “Frame Properties of the System of Eingenfunctions of a Second Order Discontinuous Differential Operator” was completed in 2021.

According to Elsevier Citation Metrics, prepared by Stanford University which represents the most-cited scientists in the world, Prof.Dr.Sezgin BAKIRDERE and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semih GÖRDÜK were among the top 2% academicians of the world.

Our Success in ISTKA Project

The project titled “Recycling Test and Research Center”, supported within the scope of the Innovative Istanbul Financial Support Program of Istanbul Development Agency, is managed by the faculty member of Physics Department, Prof. Dr. Kutsal BOZKURT.

Our faculty members from different departments within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences are working as executives or researchers in 10 TÜBITAK 1001, 3 TÜBITAK 1002 and 1 TÜBITAK 1003 projects.

Our Success in TÜBİTAK 2232-International Leading Researchers Program

Chemistry Department faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huriye AKDAŞ KILIÇ’s project titled “Organic Photoactive Liquid Crystalline Materials for 3D Optical Data Storage” has been accepted for funding within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2232 Program.

Our Cooperation with TÜBİTAK and the French National Scientific Research Center

“Global Bergsonism” project, supported by the International Partnership between TÜBİTAK and French National Scientific Research Center, is carried out by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty member, Prof. Dr. M. Sait Özervarlı.

Success of the Chemistry Department

Among all departments in Yildiz Technical University, the Department of Chemistry received the 3rd Prize in academic activities this year.

Completed Master's Theses and Doctoral Dissertations

60 Master’s and 47 Doctoral dissertations have been completed in the departments of Statistics, Western Languages and Literatures, Physics, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Chemistry and Turkish Language.

Our Project Supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Project titled “Training and Development of Italian Teachers in Foreign Universities”, directed by Department of Western Languages and Literatures faculty member, Prof.Dr.Sündüz Kasar, has been supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Great Success of Our Students in TÜBİTAK Research Projects

In 2021, the research projects of our 32 undergraduate students from the Statistics, Physics, Molecular Biology-Genetics and Chemistry Departments were supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-A, 2209-B and 2210-C programs.

Patent Success

YTU Chemistry and Physics Department members received 6 patents in 2021.
